A sensory journey: Skins Fragrance Experience at Pillows Amsterdam

On 7 and 8 September 2024, it was time for Skins' Fragrance Experience Live, an exclusive event where fragrances and flavours came together in a special way. Skins, known for their luxury and exclusive perfumes, organised this event for their customers at Pillows Hotel Maurits at the Park in Amsterdam. A weekend dedicated to finding your own scent route in the perfume world.

Walk your scent route

During the event, participants chose one of fragrance routes, gourmand or woody. Gourmand, a sensory experience full of sweet, edible notes like vanilla, cherry and coffee, and Woody, with deep, earthy scents of wood, cedar and oud. Where Gourmand felt like a visit to a luxury sweet shop, Woody provided the warm, earthy luxurious woods that gave the feeling of comfort. For VIP guests, there was an exclusive workshop where they could create their own perfume, under the guidance of renowned perfumers.

Between talks, guests had lunch at Spring Brasserie or drinks with snacks on the sun-drenched terrace overlooking the Oosterpark.

Masterclasses and founder interviews

During the masterclasses and founder talks, perfumers spoke in detail about their creations, the inspiration behind the fragrances and the creative process. This not only gave participants an insight into the art of perfume making, but also a personal connection with the fragrances themselves. It was a unique opportunity to hear how some of the most iconic and exclusive perfumes were created directly from the people who created them.

Skins Pop-up shop

During this two-day event, a Skins pop-up shop was set up. In this shop, guests were able to try the perfumes themselves, accompanied by Skins' expert team, who went even deeper into the stories behind the fragrances.

At the end of the day, guests left the hotel with a new, perfectly fitting perfume as a reminder of an inspiring experience. Others enjoyed the hotel a little longer-from the evening sun on Spring's terrace, a drink at Fitz's Bar or an overnight stay at Pillows Hotel Maurits at the Park
