Hotel Vogue by Pillows opened its doors for the first time: this is what it looked like.
On July 11 and 12, Vogue completely took over Pillows Hotel Maurits at the Park in Amsterdam. In this monumental building, once a university, a select company was invited out of Vogue's international network. These high-end brand partners, including Chanel, H&M, Samsung, Nespresso, Polestar, Netflix and Schaap en Citroen were immersed in the wonders of Vogue and Pillows Hotels for a day and night.
Hotel Vogue by Pillows
The 80 guests entered the five-star hotel near Oosterpark, welcomed by hostesses dressed in pillow-like looks by Studio Hiem, a nod to the name of the Pillows Hotels collection.
Art & beauty
After a warm welcome, Pillows Hotels curator Marliz Nonner began a tour of the hotel's extraordinary works of art. From a collection to Gustav Klimmt in The Living, commissioned artwork by Jasper Krabbé in the hotel rooms and corridors, to a real Picasso in Fitz's Bar. Beauty lovers could opt for a special Vogue Manicure at the Urban Spa or a touch-up of hair and makeup provided by the team of Rob Peetoom and MAC Cosmetics.
Stylish Hotel Rooms with a touch of Vogue
At the doorknob before entering the hotel room, guests were greeted by the latest issue of Vogue, with singer Maan and Karel on the cover. On the comfortable bed was a personalized Vogue-giftbox with luxury slippers, a sleep mask, a Pillows bath towel and a surprise box from Skins.
Champagne on Spring's sun-drenched terrace
Next, the opening of the very first Hotel Vogue by Pillows was celebrated with champagne on the sun-drenched terrace of Spring Café Brasserie, where editor-in-chief Yeliz Cecik and Pillows CEO Loes Dingemans spoke about how and why Vogue and Pillows joined forces.
Signature dinner and an intimate concert
After a welcome speech by editor-in-chief Yeliz Cicek and CEO Loes Dingemans, it was time for dinner. The brand partners enjoyed high-level comfort food at Spring Café Brasserie or a fine dining experience at VanOost Restaurant. At both restaurants, the chefs served their signature dishes. During dinner, guests received a surprising text message: informing them that singer Karsu would be giving an intimate concert at VanOost Restaurant's bar. After dinner, dozens of visitors listened breathlessly to the singer, who accompanied herself on a Vogue grand piano.
Afterwards, there was an opportunity to take pictures in the Pillows x Vogue photobooth. And a little time for guests to drop off their bath towels, for initialling, in a suite that was transformed into an embroidery studio.
High notes, soft landing
Then the evening continued in Fitz's on the Roof, the rooftop bar, where a Vogue cocktail was served with views of the Oosterpark. Accompanied by lovely weather and summer hits, a genuine networking reception ensued among the various high-end brands. After a lively evening the guests dove into a soft Pillows bed with Egyptian cotton. Dreaming of the next gathering in Pillows Maurits at the Park.
